An interview (phone or in-person) and three references with phone numbers for APCRO to contact are required. You must have a passport good for at least 6 months beyond your return date and obtain any visa’s required, depending on your country of residence. U.S. and U.K. citizens do not need one at this time. Positions are on a voluntary basis, thus there will be no financial compensation. APCRO, Inc. has the right to decline any volunteer at anytime. We are often working in very remote areas without phone, electricity, or email. The weather in Africa can be extreme from cold to hot temperatures and it is important you can work effectively under these conditions. APCRO’s research hours consist of long days and we often work throughout the night. Africa has many amazing animals and many of those animals are very dangerous. Due to the nature of APCRO’s research we encounter many different animals and you must be prepared for this. MEDIVAC insurance is suggested.
Due to the interest in this project; waiting time after acceptance may be one year or longer, so please plan ahead.
