APCRO at camp!

Posted on:

The APCRO team is in the bush! After a long journey, we are at camp in the Kwando concession. Many of the roads were un-passable due to flooding from the Selinda spillway. After a long two days of driving we got camp set-up and the laboratory. Our first night at camp we had two male lions spend time walking around our camp vocalizing. Very exciting!
We are building a new team with several new participants.
It is now Monday morning and we are off to work! The generator is running and allowing us to charge equipment and also make sure all our laboratory equipment is running.
More soon……….

Taking inventory our first few days and testing equipment was our focus while in Maun. Now we are packing vehicles for our long drive to camp. It is cold here! About 70 degrees during the day and low 40’s at night. Looking forward to seeing the amazing animals of Africa on our drive to camp!
